Always Present

I used several programs to create this image. I started by using Vue7 to create the background. I used a 3d model of the mission created by jotasjmvc. I used PD Particles to create the grass and the plants in the foreground. I scanned a 8 x 10 image of Christ and then layered it using Photoshop.

Winter Storm

This morning I got up to this site. We got 30 inch of snow last night. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Hope Chest

My youngest daughter wanted a Hope Chest for Christmas so I decided it was time for me to tackle the "Dovetail Joint". Something that I had been dreading for a long time. But when it was completed I realized I did a lot of worrying for nothing.


The dovetail joints were fun to make. You just have to take your time and work slowly making sure your measurements are correct. I was using my great-grandfathers wooden mallet with the wood chisels. I felt like I was going back in time, working the same way they did back then. It was very satisfying to see the finished work turn out the way it did.

The Little Pond

The Little Pond is one of my favorites. It just reminded me of when I was a kid and would go down to the pond with my friends to watch for frogs and turtles. I love the colors and the reflection off the water. This image was a real joy to create.
